A First For Me

I have photographed everything I see from nature to people in various stages of their lives, architecture, animals and even some strange non-recognizable still-life abstracts...but recently I had the pleasure of experiencing a first: my first Quinceañera! A Quinceañera is a "coming of age" celebration from the Spanish culture, which signifies a young girl's 15th birthday as the defining moment of emerging from a girl to a woman. There are many religious and symbolic traditions that happen on this momentous day and it is a huge event in the family's life. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day! :)

My First Blog...

Yes, it's true...I am new to the world of blogging. I see a ton of them out there, and it is apparantly the "IT" thing to have for your website, so I've finally decided to jump on the bandwagon. I am now part of the evergrowing and infinite abyss that is called the internet and this is my niche. I hope you enjoy my blog, website, and more importantly, my work! Photography, in general, is my true passion...I don't really have a favorite genre...I just truly love capturing the wonderful world around me and it's diverse inhabitants, usually in a natural and candid way.
