I have photographed everything I see from nature to people in various stages of their lives, architecture, animals and even some strange non-recognizable still-life abstracts...but recently I had the pleasure of experiencing a first: my first Quinceañera! A Quinceañera is a "coming of age" celebration from the Spanish culture, which signifies a young girl's 15th birthday as the defining moment of emerging from a girl to a woman. There are many religious and symbolic traditions that happen on this momentous day and it is a huge event in the family's life. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day! :)
I am a full time mother and part time photographer. My daughter is the reason and inspiration for me finally realizing what it is that I am supposed to be doing with my life: my hidden talent that I never knew that I had...documenting life through photographs! Please let me know what you think of my work! :)
